François and Francine Rigaud...
... sailing aboard Captain-Punch II
Captain-Punch II is a Diam 40, an aluminium sloop built by Langevin in 1979.
During 1996, François and Francine left France - La Rochelle - for a one year trip to Caribbean and Venezuela.
In 2005, Captain Punch left France for Cape Verde Islands, West Indies, then Panama and Galapagos Islands.
In 2008, they arrived in French Polynesia: Marquesas Islands, then Tahiti, and we are pleased to welcome them at the AVP association.

For the Tourism World Day, the Pa'e Pa'e No Te Ora Association organizes activities at PK 18 at PUNAAUIA.
These activities (in priori free) are:
* Snorkeling in a maritime path
* Initiation at va'a (dugout)
* Initiation at the javelin throw
* Show of local singings and dances
* Visit of the Museum of Tahiti and her Islands
A Ma'a Tahiti (local meal) will be offer for free for the tourists of hotels, and with financial participation (1500 FCP) for others.
Free shuttles will start at the Marina Taina at 8:20 AM for the PK 18, with a return at 2:30 et 4:00 PM from the Museum. For more details, ask for Michel at Tahiti Yachts Accessoires.

Winch and winch cranks, fishing tackle, dive equipment, barbecue, refrigerator, small chandlery, surfboards, ladder and footbridge, sail, we could find of all this Saturday in the nautical fleas!
About ten exhibitors, around thirty visitors, this 2009 edition of the flea market did not drain a lot of people, however the atmosphere was friendship and nice as every year.
Here bargains!
The Jacky's triradial spinnaker did not find buyer, it's still for sale
New owners for a barbecue
The dive equipment will not remain for a long time exposed!

To avoid taking place at the same day as the Pearl Regatta - which modify it's date today -, the nautical flea market organized by the AVP will be held on Saturday, June 27th.
The same place (Marina Taina at Punaauia), the same hour (from 8:00 AM), the same free entrance!

The nautical flea market, organized by the AVP association, will take place at the Marina Taina (Punaauia, Tahiti) Saturday, June 20th 2009, at 8:00 AM.
As the entrance is free, everybody can come and expose his nautical stuff to sell.
So, start to select what you want to sell, and see you there!

The AVP, French Polynesia Cruising Association, welcome all the owners of sailboats and motorboats, resident in French Polynesia for at least one year.
It also welcome all the boats of passage which would like to support us in our actions of welcoming and protection.
To operate our actions and see that they are successful, to operate also our activities and the others to come and to see that they continue, we need most large number of willingnesses, ideas of all and the creativity of each.
Owners of resident sailboats or boats of passage in Polynesia, join us and bring us your competition!

A boat show took place at To'ata, Papeete, from 26 till 29 March.
Some motorboats, dugouts, jets-skis, but very few sailboats on sale on this show: only a livable sports catamaran, Ekolo' kat 34, was in exhibition.
The local bases of charter proposed tours in catamarans, for free.
